There is a certain confidence boost that accompanies presenting your team’s work in front of a group of executives when you begin the presentation of your work by passing out some stunning documentation and references for the efforts put in.
There is also a certain sinking feeling that will hit when you realize you are the only person at the table with poor or absent documentation of your efforts.
Whether you are a project manager, line manager, or a vendor, good documentation matters in many ways beyond providing a positive perception of your work.
